One XS Review
One XS weight loss pills have been popular for a while now however the rating are declining quite quickly; why? Diet Pill Review Site is going to look into why so many people are posting negative reviews now as opposed to a year ago and see what’s changed.
One XS diet pills are sold by a company called YoungYou International who are based at 18226 Ventura blvd, Tarzana, CA 91356 USA – Phone (818) 344-3344.
They can be purchased through Amazon.com or the official site itself. Young You also sell a range of other ‘cleansing supplements’ and anti-aging products such as diet pills and slimming coffee.
The company image is one that looks as though it’s producing very holistic and natural products, but read on to find out why this is just a smokescreen!
With bold claims such as “one of the strongest diet pills” and that you can lose up to 10-15lbs per month it’s time to look at how this is possible and moreover, why the reviews have turned negative towards this once popular dietary supplement.
What Does One XS weight Diet Pills Claim To Do?
As I mentioned before, there are some very bold claims made with the One XS diet pill which always raises a red flag with me. Good dietary supplements designed to boost your weight loss tend not to make promises and overly optimistic claims as it can have the effect of lulling you into a false sense of security.
The good ones always openly tell you that you need to take some form of exercise and watch what you eat. Relying on a pill alone is setting you up for failure and dependancy on the supplement when the weight balloons back on through poor dietary habits.
Aside from claiming to be “one of the strongest diet pills”, One XS also gives the impression that you can achieve rapid weight loss by only taking just one pill per day. This one pill is claimed to be a potent fat burner, that works right out of the bottle on day one!
Are One XS Ingredients Magic?
The ingredients of One XS are:
- Green Tea 400mg
- Aloe Ferox 50mg
- L-Carnitine 1mg
- Hoodia 1mg
- Garcinia Cambogia fruit powder extract 4.5mg
The amounts of each ingredients aren’t high and certainly not enough to give you the weight loss results that have been reported. So, is there something YoungYou haven’t told us?
Why The Downturn In Customer Reviews?
Looking at the reviews and the star rating on Amazon.com it all seems a bit too good to be true. Glowing customer reviews and claims of rapid weight loss have been posted thick and fast – then BOOM! Recent reviews are not so glowing. Many are stating that the pill simply doesn’t work.
I dug a bit deeper to discover the reason why the sudden drop in positive reviews and low and behold, this is what I found.
“July 15, 2009 – Tarzana, CA – Young You Corporation has been informed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that four weight loss dietary supplements sold and marketed by the firm contain an undeclared drug ingredient. FDA lab analyses of dietary supplements distributed by the company were found to contain undeclared Sibutramine, an FDA-approved drug used as an appetite suppressant for weight loss. The FDA has not approved the following products as drugs; therefore the safety and effectiveness of this product is unknown. All lots of the following dietary supplement products are being recalled:”
“The products listed above were sold and distributed nationwide via the internet and at the company’s Weight Loss and Rejuvenation Center in Tarzana.
FDA advises that these products pose a threat to consumers because sibutramine is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or stroke.
No illnesses or injuries have been reported to the company to date in connection with this product.
Young You Corp. has taken this voluntary action because it is committed to providing accurate information about its products and because of the concern for the health and safety of consumers. Young You Corp. is working with the FDA in the recall process. It sincerely regrets any inconvenience to customers.” http://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls/ucm172478.htm
The Answer: One XS weight loss pill contained a banned substance called sibutramine. Before this was discovered the reviews were good as the banned substance was what was creating the positive reports of weight loss.
After the company got caught out by the FDA and One XS was recalled, it was rereleased as a new and improved formula minus the sibutramine and flopped when it couldn’t produce the fat burning that it did previously!
Side Effects Of Sibutramine
Sibutramine was originally marketed as an anti obesity substance but was soon found to play a major role in the increase of heart disease and strokes.
Other nasty side effects include:
- dry mouth
- increased appetite
- odd taste in the mouth
- upset stomach
- menstrual pain
- joint and muscle pain
The FDA banned Sibutramine in 2010 due to the health concerns of taking this substance entails.
I think it’s safe to say that One XS weight loss pills have had their day. All the historic positive reviews seem to be when it contained the banned substance; Sibutramine. Take that sneaky little undisclosed ingredient out and you’re left with a diet pill that would act as a placebo at best, without any significant enough amounts of ingredients to have any effects on your weight loss results.
In short, stick to a diet pill that discloses it’s ingredients and doesn’t try to hide anything – your life could depend on it!
If this review of the One XS weight loss pill hasn’t left you feeling that there are no ethical diet pills then don’t give up. There are quality diet pills out there without jeopardising your health.
